Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Visits Armenia’s Largest Walnut Orchard

On April 3, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Armenia’s largest walnut orchard, located in the Armavir region.

The orchard currently spans 311 hectares and includes more than 45,000 walnut trees. In the coming years, this number is expected to reach 90,000 trees, further strengthening the project’s contribution to Armenia’s agricultural sector.

The initiative, valued at over AMD 5 billion, is being implemented by Green Invest Investment Fund and represents one of the country’s most significant long-term investments in modern horticulture.

During the visit, the project’s vision, achievements, and future plans were presented. Discussions focused on the importance of sustainable agricultural development, the implementation of modern technologies, and the role of state support programs in advancing intensive horticulture across Armenia.

Beyond its economic impact, the project supports local communities through social and charitable initiatives, creating value both within and beyond the agricultural sector.

The visit concluded with a symbolic tree-planting ceremony, highlighting a shared commitment to growth, sustainability, and the future of Armenian agriculture.
